
Anthony David Gonzalez was conceived in Torrance on February 27 of 1976. He was raised in the southern part of California and attended Huntington Beach High School where the school was where he played at the top on both the football and basketball teams. Gonzalez excelled in these sports at the University of California. He led the football team to the 1996 Aloha Bowl, where he beat the record of the school bowl by catching nine times. Gonzalez was the basketball coach to the Sweet 16 of NCAA basketball tournament within a couple of months. After graduating from high school He was a participant in the 1997 NFL Draft. The Kansas City Chiefs selected Gonzalez as their 13th overall pick. Gonzalez was part of the Chiefs from 1997 to 2008. The Chiefs dealt Gonzalez to the Atlanta Falcons. After Gonzalez's first NFL season, he completed more than 59 passes each season.
