Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette (January 31, 1937 - January 19 2008) was an American theatre, film, television, and voice actress. [1] Pleshette started her professional career in the theater and started appearing in films towards the end of the 1950s. She later made appearances in movies of a prominent nature like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), and Spirited Away (2001). Later, she appeared in many television productions and was often as a guest actor. She played Emily Hartley in The Bob Newhart Show, 1972-1978 where she received many Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan), and Eugene Pleshette. She was born in Brooklyn Heights, New York City on January 31 1937. The parents of her were Jewish, the children of emigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary.Her mother was a dancer and artist who performed on stage under the name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was stage manager of the Paramount Theater in Manhattan and also of the Paramount Theater in Brooklyn,
